OCBC Bank shifts media account from Carat to Optimedia

OCBC bank has appointed Optimedia Malaysia its media agency with immediate effect.

Optimedia is one of the three media agency brands under Publicis One in Malaysia apart from Starcom and Mediavest. It will be tasked to focus strengthening the OCBC brand and its engagement with consumers.

The agency went up against IPG Media Lab as well as People ‘n Rich-H during the pitch and will be taking over from Carat Malaysia in service the Singapore bank.In Singapore as well, Carat lost a part of its media buying business to WPP’s Maxus last year.

General Manager of Optimedia Malaysia, Ali Imran Memon said that creating media solutions that drive business success for clients is “heart and centre of all that they do.”

Alongside the win of OCBC, Publicis One media also won Air Asia SEM across 16 countries, Courts E-commerce and Visa.
