With this contest, we would like to reach out to youth to see what creative expressions they can come up with."Nissan Almera currently holds 33% of the total B-Segment sedan market share in Malaysia with a big portion of its buyers below 29 years old.At the launch, Miranda Yeoh showcased an artistic interpretation of the popular sedan, themed as minimalist.Yeoh added that she was inspired to think of what looks good in motion and static, while keeping it simple with the geometric design that accentuated the car's distinctive features rather than trying to overwhelm it.The Nissan "Pimp My Almera" contest which runs from 4 July until 4 August 2013, will see students from Dasein Academy of Art, Saito College, IACT, The One Academy and Raffles College of Higher Education, compete and come up with the most creative designs by using Nissan Almera as the canvas. The winning design college will receive RM5,000 and the grand prize winner will receive RM20,000 and have the designed car featured at the KL International Motor Show in November 2013.The contest will be on Nissan's official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NissanMalaysia) and winners will be selected based on the most "likes" received. For this contest, public relations was handled by G2 PR while the creative was handled by Creative Juice.Recently, Nissan created "The Almera Affair" branded content on YouTube as an effort to connect with the younger audience.
