Nissan names head of marketing and sales for Asia

Nissan has appointed Vincent Wijnen (pictured) as head of marketing and sales for the Asia and Oceania region, effective 1 July 2017. He will be based in Bangkok and will report to regional senior vice president and head of operating committee A&O region, Yutaka Sanada.Wijnen joined Nissan in 1986 and has worked in several sales, marketing and after sales roles across Europe. These positions include vice president, marketing, Europe and managing director, RBU Center where he was supervising the central European markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Most recently, he held the position of vice president, after sales, Europe and was based in Amsterdam, where he reported to Paul Willcox, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Europe.“We are very pleased with Vincent’s new appointment. A highly successful leader with a formidable track record and extensive experience within Nissan, I have no doubt that Nissan will accelerate greatly,” said Sanada. “Vincent will be responsible for increasing sales performance and brand presence across the A&O region, working closely with other teams to achieve our operational and strategic goals.”
