Nissan delivers pizzas to adventure sport players to prove resilience

Nissan has brought back its "Xtreme Pizza Delivery Service" campaign to offer pizza delivery to winter adventure sport enthusiasts in collaboration with Japan’s largest pizza chain PIZZA-LA.The campaign, first launched last year, aims to prove the resilient nature of Nissan's SUV model - X-TRAIL - by trekking over difficult terrains and through tough weather conditions such as rocky mountains, rapids on dark rocks, and this time, packed snow. “Xtreme Pizza Delivery Service" 2015:http://youtu.be/WeTy1ukpX9o“Xtreme Pizza Delivery Service" 2014:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgXfS8yMEF4For the winter edition of the campaign, TBWA\HAKUHODO helped Nissan recruit the world’s top snowboarders and winter athletes as delivery crew, offering wages of 500,000 yen per day.The call for talent was announced on several different websites, including a Japanese part-time recruitment websites "An", as well as the Nissan Facebook page, which created a huge amount of positive public attention on social media.Using a specially designed smoke canister with built-in GPS, customers were able to alert the service from anywhere at anytime. Once the smoke was spotted by the patrol staff, the pizzas were driven to the snowy mountains in a Nissan X-TRAIL equipped with high traction snow treads, and then finally delivered by snowboarders and winter athletes.
