Nikon listens to customers

Nikon is set to roll out its latest integrated campaign titled ‘I Am’ in Malaysia, aiming to better engage its customers.

For the campaign Nikon has created a separate website where consumers can download “I Am” wallpapers and gain more information on the Nikon Coolpix compact camera.

The campaign will also run on newspapers, magazine, radio, outdoor, cinema and digital channels. Various promotions will also be seen at Nikon shops and the Nikon Center in KL as well at through the brand’s social media presence.

Nikon engaged Vizeum Media Services to handle its media buying activities, Dragonfly Designworks for its creative duties, Aegis Media Malaysia for PR duties and Agenda Malaysia for digital components of the campaign.

The campaign mainly targets young urban adults and amateur photographers.

Kavid Yan, assistant manager marketing of the consumer products department at Nikon Malaysia told A+M: “In order to appear more accessible, we talk from our customers’ point of view. With our campaign, we give people a platform to show what ‘being at the heart of the image’ means to them.”

“Without abandoning our brand heritage, we will use what the brand already has to offer, while embracing all current and future needs and trends of imaging. We have come up with a brand platform, positioning Nikon as the imaging professional that enables people to capture and express the richness of human experience.”
