Nikon Singapore has appointed Lewis PR as its PR agency for the local market, for a period of one year.
Lewis PR has been engaged to focus on the brand’s media and influencer relations.
The agency is tasked to position Nikon as a world leader in digital imaging products. In Singapore, Nikon hopes to break out of the image of being associated with professional use to become a lifestyle brand for consumers.
Lewis PR will also be promoting Nikon’s extensive range of cameras including D-SLRs, the Nikon-1 interchangeable lens cameras and the Coolpix range of digital compact cameras, Marketing understands.
The appointment was made after a pitch was held in September.
When asked to comment on the appointment, Andy Oliver, Senior Vice President, APAC of Lewis PR said: “Nikon has an excellent reputation and is especially well known as the camera of choice for professional photographers. Our role is to bring the Nikon message to mainstream consumers”.
