Nielsen Malaysia has appointed Raphael Pereda as managing director with effect from 1 October 2017, succeeding Richard Hall. In his new role, Pereda reports to Patrick Dodd, president of Nielsen Growth Markets Group.
Prior to this appointment, Pereda (pictured) has spent the past several years in a number of leadership roles within Nielsen’s Global Services organisation in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific where he drove substantial revenue growth. Most recently, Pereda led the Singapore retail measurement services / consumer panel services business, during which time he transitioned the business to significantly improved levels of client service, employee satisfaction and sustainable and profitable growth.
Previously, Pereda also worked for The NPD Group’s Food and Beverage market research business in the United States (US).
As the lead baton is passed on to Pereda, Hall will embark on a new role focused on the reinvention of its traditional trade measurements across the globe in which he will spearhead the development of new partnerships with retail software vendors and other technology players. Hall will be based out of Poland while leading this exciting project.
