Newgate Hong Kong names financial practice director

Newgate, financial and public affairs communications consultancy, has appointed Dan Billings as director, financial practice in Hong Kong.Billings joins from FTI Consulting, where he was most recently a director in that firm's Sydney office, responsible for the capital markets and corporate affairs practices.He has managed media and stakeholder communications across Asia Pacific, including most recently the initial public offering of MYOB, Australian technology IPO.Prior to his spell in Australia, Billings was an associate director with Kreab Gavin Anderson in Hong Kong, and was previously a communications manager for Thomson Reuters in Hong Kong and New York.Billings said: "It’s great to return to Hong Kong, one of the world's most exciting markets, to join such an ambitious, fast-­‐growing and highly motivated team."Richard Barton, Newgate’s Hong Kong managing partner, added: "It's a pleasure to welcome Dan back to Hong Kong and to Newgate.
