Neway digitises bookings with Neway1Click

If you can hail taxis and book rooms through mobile apps and web platforms, booking karaoke rooms digitally seems to be another step forward.Neway1Click, karaoke company Neway's online platform for reserving karaoke rooms, has garnered around one million impressions since it was launched last October.  After the launch, online traffic across the owned platform, Facebook fan page and eDM click rate grew by over 30%.The platform takes up 5-8% of the company's marketing budget and was initially launched to boost sales in November, which is typically an off-peak season for karaoke."Since students are preparing for the exam and adults are saving up for Christmas. Neway usually launches many promotions to boost sales every November," Calvis Chan, marketing manager at Neway Entertainment, said.Seasonal deal-driven campaigns will be one of the core types of campaigns run using the platform, such as offering Christmas buffets at the end of the year and package deals for football-watching parties.According to Chan, the platform gives frontline staff members more time to manage the logistics of preparing karaoke rooms for guests, since customers must pay for and make reservations a week in advance of their bookings.  This helps the company improve its customer service.Three-step marketing planShortly after the launch, the Neway marketing team's priority was to increase people's awareness of Neway1Click.  Out-of-home and digital ads were placed for this purpose.In the second stage of marketing the platform, the team used Facebook content marketing to direct people to the owned platform."Because this is an online platform, we think online media is more suitable for promoting Neway1Click," Chan said."Digital marketing allows us to achieve the same results using a smaller budget, giving us cost savings compared to traditional media such as TV and magazines."As people began frequenting the website, the team was tasked with shortening the amount of time taken by the customer to complete the purchase of a deal to improve the efficiency of budgets spent on advertising and promotional offers.Chan said Neway is willing to explore the potential of establishing Neway1Click as an advertising platform and a place for marketing joint-promotions with partners in the future.
