New men's magazine hits the market

The publisher of Nylon Singapore has launched a new magazine targeting a young males aged 18 to 35 years, a segment editor-in-chief Adele Chan feels has been largely untapped by publishers.Nylon Guys will target alcohol, automobiles, tech, fashion and male grooming and credit card brands as advertisers.It has already signed on the likes of Nixon, Ben Sherman, Topman, Chivas, New Balance and Vans as launch advertisers.Chan, who also heads Nylon Magazine editorially, said the magazine aims to offer an alternative voice to other male titles in Singapore.Nylon Guys, published bi-monthly, launches from on 1 August with an initial print run of 20,000. Earlier this year, its publisher, Jakarta-based MPG Media launched Nylon Singapore, targeted at women aged 18 to 35.Chan added that the magazine would be sent for circulation auditing one year later.
