New art magazine to launch

Luxury magazine publisher Heart Media, is launching a new art title, Art Republik. The magazine will be a quarterly art magazine covering both the global and local art scene.Art Republik will be distributed in Singapore and Asia's capital cities. Its editorial focus will be on the latest art news and individuals who are changing the art world, as well as collectors who take pleasure in appreciating art. A daily blog will also be launched simultaneously.Currently, Art Republik has advertisers such as Blancpain, Richard Mille, Roger Dubuis, UBS, Martell, Christofle, Baccarat. Aside from these luxury advertisers, close to 20 galleries from Singapore and capital cities in Asia will be in the first issue.Other major luxury brands such as Saint-Laurent, Louis Vuitton, MontBlanc, Rolex as well as Hermes have also expressed strong interest, CEO & publisher at Heart Media, Olivier Burlot, told Marketing.The debut issue will be on sale at newsstands and major bookstores from 1 December 2013. The initial print-run will be of 20,000 copies and the retail price is SG$10 for a 250 page publication. The magazine also plans to undergo auditing in the third quarter of next year, said Burlot.For its inaugural issue, the magazine paired up with Affordable Art Fair and Art Stage Singapore and will run on the theme of ‘What is Art?'. A booth will be present in both AAF and ArtStage. The issue will additionally feature interviews with other artists in the fields of design, fashion, architecture and many more.Marc Wong, formerly heading The Rake magazine will be the managing editor of ART REPUBLIK.Burlot added: "With a vibrant art scene, it is time that Singapore and Asia get a strong and credible art publication."
