MyTeksi rallies to raise Malaysian morale

In a show of solidarity for the nation and to spread joy, MyTeksi will be giving away free 200 ‘happy packages’ to passengers starting this tomorrow. This is as part of its #malaysiansunite campaign.MyTeksi will deliver packages containing specially designed button badges with the hashtag #malaysiansunite emblasoned on them. The company hopes the badges will boost public’s morale. Popular beverage company PermanisSdnBhd has generously sponsored 1,500 Revive isotonic drinks to be included in the ‘happy packages’.The two-day campaign, which runs on 24 and 25 July 2014 in the Klang Valley, aims to bring Malaysians together and uplift spirits during these trying times. “It has been a tragic year for the country. The series of unfortunate events that happened has shocked and worse, divided us as a nation,” said MyTeksi regional head of marketing Cheryl Goh.“We want to rally Malaysians together to be able to heal and move forward as a united nation. It’s spreading a little happiness that our passengers can share with their friends. We are only as strong as we are united,” she added.To participate in the campaign, MyTeksi users will need to select the ‘#malaysiansunite’ in the car type, which will be available in the app this Thursday and Friday and key in the delivery address. Once confirmed, a MyTeksi driver will deliver the ‘happy packages’ to the address with no charges.Recipients of the ‘happy packages’ are encouraged to share photographs or post about the experience on the social media channels with the attached hashtag #malaysiansunite and tag @MyTeksi.
