MyTeksi gives a Merdeka sweet treat

In conjunction with the upcoming 56th Merdeka celebration, MyTeksi has collaborated with The Potong Artisan Pops ice cream brand to kick off its series of "Locals-for-Locals" initiative.The Potong Artisan Pops, founded by Ivan Lee (pictured second from left), is a modern take on the quintessential traditional Malaysian favourite ais krim potong.The initiative, meant to demonstrate MyTeksi's support for home-grown brands and business start-ups, is also ideal in that both companies share the same target demography - vibrant Gen-Y consumers."It is in our plans to continuously look for other appealing Malaysian brands that share our philosophy and spirit, whom we can collaborate with to benefit and leverage on our shared target consumers," said Cheryl Goh (pictured second from right), regional marketing head of MyTeksi.On 31 August, MyTeksi will be giving away 500 free limited edition of potong ice cream called the Malaya Popsicle, while stocks last.The Malaya Popsicle, which comes in four colours representing the national flag, can be redeemed at selected The Potong participating outlets by flashing the MyTeksi application on smartphones.Ivan Lee (pictured second from left), founder of The Potong Artisan Pops, said, the collaboration with MyTeksi will reinvigorate the once-popular culture of eating the traditional Malaysian potong ice cream among youths today, in commemoration of the 56thIndependence Day.The campaign will be promoted via the MyTeksi app, newsletters and its official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page, leading to the event day.The Potong participating outlets are Publika Solaris Dutamas, Wondermama, Delectable Treats and Frontera at Jaya One.For this campaign, Ming, KH & Associates is the appointed PR agency.
