MullenLowe Sng & Partners Malaysia has appointed Sathi Anand (pictured right) to the role of ECD. Anand has over 25 years of experience in the industry, having worked with international and local brands. He was previously the ECD at Publicis Indonesia and prior to that, was at Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia.Anand is also part of Malaysian social enterprise The Biji-biji Initiative, working with passionate and purposeful young talents, as they aim to bring the message of sustainability to the world through creativity. He said that it is a "real privilege" to be back with CEO Adrian Sng again, whose vision and enthusiasm for the industry are "second to none"."As we continue to evolve, we aim to integrate what we know best; our insightful approach to communications challenges with immersive and inspired creativity, which we believe, will only result in impactful campaigns that leave a lasting impression," Anand added.Meanwhile, the agency also promoted Gavin Teoh (pictured left) to client services director, more than a year after he joined the agency as business group head. During his time at the agency, Teoh was responsible for securing accounts including EduCity by Iskandar Investment, MCT, Pepsi by Etika and Systema. Both Anand and Teoh will lead the agency's creative offerings and will report to Sng.“I’m excited about the new role. Having worked with Sng for some time now, I absolutely believe in his vision for our new agency, the people we want to bring in and the type of work we aim to do. "These two traits hold him in good stead when managing our clients’ businesses as well as leading and growing teams that have worked with him," Sng said.Earlier this year, Sng took full ownership of the business, renaming it from MullenLowe Malaysia to MullenLowe Sng & Partners Malaysia. The move provides greater agility for the agency, allowing it to be more responsive to the needs of its clients and the local market. The agency remains part of the MullenLowe Group network as an affiliate business partner, retaining access to the network’s global tools and expertise.
