MullenLowe China, part of global creative network MullenLowe Group, has appointed Cheelip Ong as chief creative officer, who joins the MullenLowe China leadership team based out of Shanghai.
Ong is a creative leader with 15 years of advertising experience, having helped creative departments in key APAC markets such as Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and China.
Ong has successfully managed a diverse portfolio of global brands including SONY, CANON, Abbott, CIBA VISION, Skoda, Procter & Gamble, BMW, MINI, McDonald’s, SKII; as well as China’s technology leaders including BAIDU, Tencent, Xin.com and DIDI.
In his previous role as executive partner and chief creative officer at 180China, Ong helped the agency grow from 19 employees to 185 across two offices within three short years. Under his creative leadership the agency was awarded over 30 creative awards.
