MRM China has appointed Leo Chu as managing director.
An industry veteran kicking off his career with leading agencies like AKQA and W&K, Chu held various leadership roles in both digital or e-commerce platforms and brands. Previously vice president of content and branding of a leading cross-border Tmall Partner, Leo was responsible for operational transformation across content, influencers and social commerce.
Prior to that, Chu was managing director of Stadium Goods, vice president of global marketing partnerships at NBA China, and managing director of Tribal DDB. In his new position, he reports jointly to Emily Chang, CEO of McCann Worldgroup China, and Kate MacNevin, global chairwoman and CEO of MRM.
“With him joining us at this pivotal moment, we are confident that an integrated McCann Worldgroup will create more value for our clients, through designing holistic O+O customer experiences and integrated digital ecosystems," said Chang.
"I’m excited to drive innovation for an impressive list of clients and oversee MRM’s two China offices. It’s a time of positivity and momentum across McCann Worldgroup," added Chu.
