Media company MP & Silva has paired up with sports marketing agency Pitch International to develop and manage joint projects across Asia.
Based in Singapore, the partnership will see the two develop selected projects, including the acquisition and distribution of rights, production services and events management.
A spokesperson from MP & Silva declined to go into the specific markets the partnership would cover but told Marketing it would definitely be concentrating on Asia and Southeast Asia on the whole. No time frame was given as to how long the partnership is for as well.
While Brazil Global Tour, FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifiers, Six Nations Rugby, Ascot and Racing UK, Liverpool TV, Capital One Cup and nPower Championship were selected to kick-start the partnership, a number of new projects focused on Asia are currently under negotiation.
Together, Pitch International and MP & Silva distribute over 15,000 hours of programming to over 200 broadcasters across the globe.
MP & Silva chief executive, Andrea Radrizzani, said the move was a natural evolution of the business in Asia to work with Pitch.
“Our businesses are complementary and together we have the scale to ensure we can continue to exploit bigger events and rights in the territory,” Radrizzani (pictured) added.
