Monash University and crypto firm Luno hire PR agency in Indonesia

London-based cryptocurrency platform, Luno and Monash University in Australia have appointed PRecious Communications for communication activities in Indonesia. The contracted period is one year for both companies. In a press release, PRecious Communications said the work for Luno will largely be educational, targeting not only potential inventors, but also government, regulators and academics.

“Nowadays there are many crypto players , but the public are still in the introductory phase about this industry. In partnership with Luno, we want to educate the public and eventually people will consider crypto as one of the prospective investment portfolios,” explained Francisca Adinda, Indonesia market lead of PRecious Communications.

In partnership with Lion&Lion Digital Agency, PRecious Communications will also handle communications and marketing duties in Indonesia for Australian university, Monash University. This comes as the agency sees more demand for strategic communications in Indonesia recently.

Its other clients in Indonesia include global companies such as HP, ALBA and BASF as well as Indonesian businesses such as local-owned passenger car battery manufacturer NS Battery, Campina LuVe Ice Cream and Mimpi. The team currently consists of close to ten practitioners who have decades of experience in PR and communication. To meet the increasing needs for communication consultancy services across various verticals, Adinda said the agency will also enhance industry-specific knowledge of its consultants across key areas including corporate, consumer, technology and startups.

“Our strategy is to enhance specialisation in every team by doing research, interviewing industry players, and subscribing research journals so clients could get the insights clearly. The strategies that we offer is based on data and experts’ opinion,” she added.
