After settling its creative pitch, HSBC has retained Mindshare as its media agency globally. The agency has been appointed following a pitch that was called in October 2012.
The pitch, overseen by HSBC group marketing director Chris Clark, also included Zenith. Clark is responsible for HSBC’s repositioning of its marketing strategy.
Last month, the bank split its global ad business between split JWT, Grey and Publicis’ Saatchi & Saatchi.
The entire creative and media account is estimated global US$522 million and was last handled by WPP for the last eight years.
Although HSBC last called for a review eight years ago, the bank said, going forward, it will undertake this process more frequently.
According to the spokesman, the review will now be repeated every four years.
