Microsoft has appointed Andrew Pickup as communications lead for Asia.
Previously, Pickup (pictured) was marketing and operations general manager in Asia Pacific, a role he held for five years focusing on the ASEAN and ANZ markets.
That role has since been filled by Todd Cione. Pickup’s new role covers all markets in Asia, including ASEAN, ANZ, China, India and Japan.
He has been charged with driving excellence across all of Microsoft’s Asia subsidiaries, a region where Microsoft has over 54,000 partners and 14,000 employees.
He reports to Frank Shaw, corporate vice president of corporate communications.
Earlier this year, Microsoft lost global executives Richard Dunmall, VP of global agencies and accounts and Marc Bresseel, VP global marketing.
