Metro taps on social media
Grey Singapore and its subsidiary Yolk have launched a social media campaign for local department store Metro in conjunction with the Great Singapore Sale. The campaign runs with the tagline ‘Whatever Your Mood’ and has already been rolled out via Facebook and Twitter. It will be running on its third platform Pinterest from today in order to strengthen its fan base. Titled “I’m in a queen of the re-pins kind of mood”, Metro will run a competition urging fans to re-pin pictures of products from the Metro pin-board with a chance to win that product. The campaign will run until 24 June 2012.
CheapTickets.sg inks with Agoda.com
CheapTickets.sg has signed an agreement with online hotel reservation company Agoda.com in Singapore to provide travellers with a wide set of hotel options. Existing Agoda.com users will be able to earn and use Agoda.com’s “Rewards points” when they perform hotel bookings on CheapTickets.sg. Avid travellers can also benefit from a more consolidated payment site for flights and hotel bookings by the end of the year.
Carrefour targets the little ones
As part of Carrefour’s aim to promote family bonding and inter-generational family ties, the global retailer had organised a nationwide baby search competition titled Little Carrefour Ambassador 2012. The competition ran from 17 February to 29 March, with the winner crowned on 2 June. The overall champion took home a grand prize of SG$2,000 worth of Carrefour vouchers, with a one-year baby modelling contract for its advertising campaigns. This year marks the third year of competition by Carrefour.
Robinsons celebrates Father’s Day
Robinsons has launched a new microsite as a Father’s Day special where family members can honour the role that their father plays in their lives from 8 to 18 June 2012. Family members are encouraged to share a brief story of the difference their father has made in their lives and once uploaded, the message will be forwarded to their fathers. Robinsons will also be announcing ten daily winners on the Robinsons Facebook page, who will win products from their stores.
