Mercedes-Benz Malaysia reports 11% sales growth

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia reported a 11% sales growth by delivering 2945 units to customers.Claus Weidner, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, in a statement to The Star Online stated that these figured were largely driven with the help of new technology, and by ensuring a good customer experience. Moreover, a key contributor to the quarter’s healthy sales growth has been the Mercedes-Benz SUV range, which recorded 594 units delivered to customers.A+M has reached out to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia for a comment.The optimistic results came despite the company receiving a fair bit of criticism for its CNY ad where it got slammed on social media.  The company, said in a statement to The Star that will continue to improve its after sales capabilities by keeping customers at the forefront.The company currently has 30 dedicated dealerships nationwide. Last year, at the launch of the Mercedes-Benz C350e, Mark Raine, vice president said that despite the tough market, the company was confident of exceeding sales figures in 2015. The company had also majorly banked on events to boost sales in Malaysia.As a result of which the year-to-date sales figures for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia had increased by 10% in 2016, when compared to 2015. Raine had said the company has invested significantly in upgrading its showrooms while introducing new models into the market with the help of events.
