MediaCorp Goes On Air With SIA

MediaCorp on air with SIA MediaCorp will be taking flight with Singapore Airlines in November, entering a licensing deal with the local air carrier. With the agreement, SIA will broadcast MediaCorp’s programmes on all flight routes, including variety shows Quaint and Culture in a Bowl, and documentary Once Upon a Village, expanding its reach to local and international passengers on board. Additionally, the airline’s media productions agent AMP International is making plans to shortlist more programme titles for upcoming viewing cycles. MediaCorp programmes are also available in-flight with airlines such as Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, Continental Airlines and Scoot. SG not a top destination for shoppingSingapore has ranked fifth in the Globe Shopper Index, published by Global Blue today, just eight points behind the winning city Hong Kong. Singapore performed well in the shops category, where it came third overall due to the wide diversity of internationally recognised brands available. The city also scored well on the reasonable prices it offers on globe shopper favourites such as watches, perfumes and electrical goods.PM office looks out for ad agencyThe Prime Minister's office, public service division has called for a tender where the chosen agency will be appointed for one-year with the option of extension of one-more year. The agency will provide professional advice and recommendations in terms of layout, design and copywriting of public service division’s recruitment advertisements in The Straits Times recruit section. It will also oversee production and placement of advertisements in The Straits Times recruit section.STClassifieds provides goods exchange platformSingapore Press Holdings' has launched STClassifieds to provide a platform for users to find and sell products online. The new platform has been segmented into four categories to better reach out to people of different demographics and profiles. These are: For Him, For Her, For Kids and For Household. Thematic clusters will also soon be launched in addition to current popular categories such as Fashion, Computer & Electronic and Home & Appliances. STClassifieds will also be hosting a series of events and promotions as part of the launch, where users can look out for special Hourly Deals for coveted products. KLM flies bloggersKLM Royal Dutch Airlines has promoted its latest service of daily flights to Bali through Gushcloud's influencer marketing arm. The marketing activity to promote KLM's new Bali flights centered around eight bloggers who were sponsored a trip to Bali where they blogged about their travel and flight experiences and mentioned KLM extensively on their blogs, Facebook and Twitter accounts.Graduation trips still of importance Despite global economic slowdown, graduating students in Singapore are determined to go on trips. A survey from CheapTickets.sg shows 32% surveyed intend to take one to three months for their graduation trip. The survey also showed that Europe was the top destination for students' graduation trip, indicated by more than half of the respondents (52%), and followed by Asia and North America. More than one in four also said they are intending to spend SG$3,000 to SG$5,000 on their graduation trip.
