MediaCom Malaysia names Maaz Khan as its new business director

MediaCom Malaysia has appointed Maaz Khan as its new business director.

Khan told A+M that he will be working on a series of MediaCom’s clients with major ones being Shell and Sunway Group. He will also report to the managing director of MediaCom in Malaysia, Neal Estavillo. Prior to this role, Khan was Zenith Media’s planning director in Malaysia.

He was responsible for the planning and development of all media campaigns for key clients that include Domino’s, AmBank, Bridgestone, Ogawa and Salvatore Ferragamo. Khan’s experience ranges from product development, brand activation and strategic media planning.

From May 2013 until October 2015, Khan was engaged with L’Oreal as its media and communications manager based in Karachi. His tasks at the cosmetics company included supporting the marketing teams in communication planning process and leading the e-commerce road map for its Pakistan unit.

This new appointment marks Khan’s move back to GroupM after being away for five years, in which he was a media planner with the group’s media agency unit MEC based in Karachi.

“It feels great to be a part of GroupM again and I can’t wait for some great work with this high energy MediaCom team (in Malaysia),” Khan told A+M.
