Media 5 names first VP and sales head

Media5, the exclusive marketing and sales arm of TV5, welcomes Jane Basas as its first vice-president and head of sales.Prior joining the Kapatid TV network, Basas (pictured) was group Head and VP for prepaid marketing in Smart Communications. Both TV5 and Smart are businesses owned by Manuel Pangilinan-led Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT).She boasts deep expertise with telco brands, starting her career at Globe Telecom and Bayan Telecommunications, but has also experience working with banks. Basas worked for Citibank N.A. as product manager before joining Smart in 2004.
