Media agency MEC has shuffled its top management positions appointing Sharon Soh as managing director of MEC in Singapore and moving Connie Chan to a regional role.Soh will be taking over the leadership duties of the Singapore business from Chan and be responsible for the people, product and portfolio of clients in Singapore.Meanwhile, Chan will move on to head global solutions for Asia Pacific, the international media arm of MEC.Chan (pictured) will work closely with the region's local market managing directors, developing the agency's international clients; driving a client centric mindset as well as regional business development. Both Soh and Chan will report to Stephen Li, CEO of MEC in Asia Pacific.Li, in a statement, told Marketing: "Four years ago, the decision was made to unify our two business operations in Singapore. Back then, both Singapore and global solutions were at the cusp of developing our diversified services offer and resources, and it made the most sense to build them together in order to accelerate the growth of both operations."Currently the agency's main challenge is to stay ahead of the game and sustain its growth, according to Li.  "Hence, reorganising the management team was a vital move for the agency to enable greater focus for the Singapore operation and across the region."
