M&C Saatchi expands digital arm

M&C Saatchi-i, the digital arm of M&C Saatchi Malaysia, is expanding its team with a slew of hires.

It recently appointed Lee Wei Nee, who joins from Dentsu Malaysia, as senior project manager heading the project management team and in charge of servicing.

Lawrence Lim also joins the team as senior project executive, while Cheng Li-Jinh joins as project executive. The three will report to digital director Lee Poh Li.

Also on board is Yan Ghazaly who joined as digital creative group head in July, carrying with her a vast copywriting portfolio that spans across traditional and new media.

Ghazaly was previously senior digital copywriter for Dentsu Malaysia and content writer for DraftFCB.

The agency has also brought onboard a junior art director and two designers last month, expanding its team to 13 people.

“Ghazaly’s dynamic experience will lead the creative team in generating digital content, as well as more integrated campaigns. With new businesses and more heads onboard, we hope to bring M&C Saatchi-i further with an even stronger creative portfolio,” said Lee.

The team will produce work for clients such as Celcom Axiata, BOH Tea, Resorts World Genting and Tourism Malaysia.

Lee told A+M that the agency will be further expanding the digital team with the introduction of a social media department, expected to commence in the next two months.
