Top Hong Kong brands of 2016 unveiled

Stepping into 2017, it's time for brands to evaluate how their marketing and PR strategies were doing in the past year. YouGov BrandIndex has announced its 2016 annual best brand ranking by buzz score.In Hong Kong, personal care retailer Mannings took top spot in 2016. The athletic fashion brands Nike and Adidas were ranked No.2 and 5 respectively. While the mainstream fashion brand Uniqlo also made it into top 3, the payment system VISA was ranked No.4.Looking into different industries, Hong Kong Broadband was the top ranked under broadband and payTV platform category; Shiseido was number one under cosmetics sector; Rolex was ranked top under luxury fashion sector. csl was the top mobile service provider; Oral-B was ranked top under personal care sector; and Discovery was the number one under TV sector.In the finance industry, Hang Seng Bank was the top ranked bank; AIA was the top ranked insurance provider, while VISA was the top payment system in Hong Kong. In the travel sector, Singapore Airlines was the top ranked airline, Four Seasons was the top ranked hotel, and Trivago was the top ranked travel aggregator.These brands were rated using YouGov BrandIndex’s buzz score which asks respondents, “If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?” The buzz rankings chart shows the brands with the highest average buzz scores between January and December 2016.See the full rankings below:[gallery link="file" ids="163565,163564,163563,163562,163561,163559,163560,163557,163558,163556,163555,163554,163553"]
