Mandarin Oriental adds Chen Man to its "Fan" celebrity lineup

Fashion, beauty, and art industry figure Chen Man is the latest icon to join the lineup of the Mandarin Oriental’s star-studded “He’s a Fan/She’s a Fan” 20-year anniversary campaign. Regularly featured in outlets including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Vision, the Beijing-born visual artist, photographer, and designer is a natural fit for a campaign that has focused heavily on glamour and style. Not to mention it syncs nicely with her professional globetrotting to exhibitions in premium destinations such as Hong Kong, London, Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles. Using imagery - and playing hard on the pun - of the brand’s fan symbol, the campaign features celebrity’s voicing their appreciation of the hotel chain. Participants also name a favourite charity which the group donates to. Chen Man’s choice was nature conservancy charity, Game Rangers International. Images for the campaign are self-portraits by the artist taken at the Forbidden City in Beijing and within the environs of Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai. “The award-winning campaign has been driving awareness of the Mandarin Oriental brand for 20 years and we are delighted to welcome Chen Man as our newest ambassador,” said Jill Kluge, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s CMO. “By focusing on a range of talented and diverse celebrities who evidently appreciate the finer things in life, we continue to showcase our hotels in a truly unique and interesting way. The beautiful self-portraits taken for this launch also broaden the campaign’s appeal,” she added. Mandarin Oriental's existing “fans” as part of the larger anniversary campaign include: Chen Kun, Isabelle Huppert, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, Cecilia Bartoli, Caterina Murino, Sir Peter Blake, Karen Mok, Christian Louboutin, Sophie Marceau, Liam Neeson, IM Pei, Michelle Yeoh, Jane Seymour, Kenzo Takada, Jerry Hall, Vanessa Mae, Vivienne Tam, Barry Humphries, Frederick Forsyth, Darcey Bussell, Bryan Ferry, Dame Helen Mirren, Maggie Cheung, Hélène Grimaud, Geoffrey Rush, Adam Scott, Dev Patel, Christoph Waltz, Stanley Tucci, Rami Malek and Chen Man.
