Malaysian Advertisers Association elects new council

Malaysian Advertisers Association has appointed a new council for the 2018-2020 term. Mohamed Kadri Mohamed Taib, Coca-Cola Malaysia’s public affairs and communications director, is the new president of the association. Joining him is Baba Products Malaysia’s head of advertising and promotions Claudian Navin Stanislaus, as the vice-president of MAA.According to a report on The Star, The focus of the new council is to enhance engagements with government stakeholders so that policies can keep pace with the ever-changing trends in advertising.Kadri has been active for 30 years in the marketing communications industry and is currently also the vice-chairman of the Advertising Standards Advisory. The new president on the council has been representing both ASA and MAA on various advertising committees of regulators such as the Health Ministry and Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry.“I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to my predecessor, Margaret Au-Yong for her efforts in evolving the industry, upholding its values and driving it forward. We will continue to be guided by the initiatives, ideas and industry stance under her leadership,” Kadri added.Besides Kadri and Stanislaus, the newly elected council members are from Bata Primavera, CIMB Bank, Heineken Malaysia, Nestle Products, Nippon Paint Malaysia, Maxis Broadband, Mondelez Malaysia Sales, Tune Group and Unilever Malaysia.
