Malaysia Airlines on the search for representative to manage media assets

Malaysia Airlines (MAB) is searching for a media representative to manage its media assets and its inflight magazine Going Places. The representative also needs to ensure that content published in the print and digital versions of Going Places is of high quality.

According to the tender document seen by A+M, the appointment is for a period of three years with the option to extend for another. Companies should submitted their interest to participate by 29 July, 12 pm and the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on 30 July. The RFP documents are to be submitted by 16 September, 12 pm.

Across the causeway, Singapore Airlines (SIA) picked Ink to redesign and relaunch its inflight magazine and represent its magazine and digital media sales last year, ending its contract with SPH Magazines. The revamp was rolled in May 2018 and features a contemporary design and content drawn from SIA’s global route network.

Separately, MAB recently partnered with European travel and tourism company TUI to launch MHholidays, a travel marketplace that enables consumers to tailor-make their holidays with the combination of flights and hotels. Last month, MAB also expanded its scope with Singapore Airlines to include an expansion of codeshare flights beyond Singapore-Malaysia routes, as well as enhancements on the frequent flyer programme front.
