The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has appointed Ogilvy & Mather Singapore to assist in the provision of services for integrated communications and development of publicity materials. A tender for the account was called on 17 March 2017, with 12 agencies pitching for it.
The three agencies that were shortlisted were J. Walter Thompson Singapore, Ogilvy & Mather Singapore and OMD Singapore. Meanwhile, the remaining nine that were not shortlisted were agencies such as Ace:Daytons Communications, AD Planet Group, Atomz I!, Cheng Seng Electric, Dentsu Singapore, McCann World Group Singapore, Singapore Press Holdings, Starlight Advertising and Tactic Public Relations.
Last month, LTA appointed Dentsu Singapore to undertake duties for its Public Transport Campaign for the fourth year running. Following the renewal, the agency will be responsible for strategic communications and campaign servicing. It will also develop integrated communication materials, media planning and placement as well as online and on-ground engagement activities and initiatives.
In March this year, Singapore’s Ministry of Transport (MOT), the governing board of LTA, was on the hunt for one or multiple agencies to undertake advertising and marketing duties for its MRT30 anniversary campaign recently. In June last year, LTA appointed McCann World Group for its creative business. As part of the appointment, McCann was responsible for developing and implementing public communication materials and initiatives.
