Lowyat reaches out to women

Lowyat Networks, which runs popular technology forum site Lowyat.net has branched out to launch a women’s lifestyle portal, Lipstiq.com.

The site focuses on short and concise articles with topics ranging from fashion to parenting and relationships and aims to provide localised content in order to allow Malaysian women to interact.

Targeted at women aged to 16-36, the portal is looking at advertisers from the entertainment, fashion, beauty and food & health industries.

According to Chan Wern Shen, editor, Lowyat Networks aside from printed publications, there’s no avenue online for women to go to for their daily ‘fill of female indulgences.’

“Nearly 48.1% of Malaysian internet users are female and an average female spends an around of 4-8 hours on the internet a day. It was because of this that we felt the need to engage this audience.”
