Lowe and Partners hires regional engagement planning director

Lowe and Partners has appointed Matt Lanning to the newly-created role of APAC engagement planning director.Lanning will work across both the Lowe and Lowe Profero brands in Asia.Based in Singapore, he will report to Lowe Profero Southeast Asia MD Stuart Edwards with a remit to ensure digital channel planning and thinking are integral to the development of all Lowe and Partners campaigns across the region.Lanning brings over 16 years of experience from America and Asia Pacific to the role. He was most recently based in Sydney where he held a number of senior positions including director of communications planning for Wunderman, and communications director for Naked Communications.Prior to this he held a global role at MEC in Los Angeles, and positions at Starcom in both Los Angeles and Singapore. Throughout his career Lanning has worked on campaigns including "Share a Coke", Microsoft Surface and the launch of Windows 8, for clients including Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Nestle, P&G, Pernod Ricard, Activision, Disney and Sony.Lowe Profero’s Southeast Asia MD Stuart Edwards said Lanning’s appointment strengthens the aim to build the most integrated client offering in Asia.“Matt is a world-class planner with the vision to create comms plans influenced as much by a Google keyword as a TVC or print execution,” he said. “This is a crucial hire as we power up to be the preeminent agency across the region.”The appointment comes as Lowe Profero relocates to one shared office with Lowe in central Singapore. The combined Lowe and Partners business in Southeast Asia is led by Lowe Profero’s Global CEO, Wayne Arnold and Southeast Asia MD, Stuart Edwards alongside Lowe’s existing management team, led by Asia Pacific Regional President, Rupen Desai.
