After nine years at Courts, regional marketing director Yvonne Low has left the company to join McDonald’s as senior director of marketing and corporate communications, replacing chief brand officer Harvey Uong.
Uong will move to a new role in McDonald’s, though the company gave no further details on his new role at the time of writing.
Low (pictured) will begin in her new role on 2 January 2012, a spokesperson for McDonald’s confirmed.
Terry O’Connor, CEO, Courts told Marketing that no immediate like-for-like replacement plans would be made for Low’s role, but that head of marketing Jasmine Seow would be in charge of all marketing operations for Courts Singapore.
“After 9 successful years Yvonne has decided to move on and has left last week with our blessing for a bright new chapter in her career. We’re proud of her achievements at Courts and believe she will be an asset to McDonald’s,” O’Connor, said.
“In this day and age of job hopping her tenure with us stands out as to what can be achieved by immersing in a brand and its progress, but reluctantly we accept that marketers will, by nature, eventually want to show what they can do with another brand,” he added.
