Uber’s latest marketing stunt is to deliver phones. Uber has partnered Xiaomi on-demand delivery of the new Mi Note in Singapore and Malaysia.
Now, ordering a Mi Note follows the exact same process as calling for an Uber — users can open the Uber app, and a slider at the bottom of the app will allow users to select “Xiaomi” and request for them. Payment will be charged directly to the user’s credit card on their Uber accounts and a Mi Note will be delivered in a minutes. The stunt kicks off on 27 July.
In Singapore, it is offering an ice cream delivery service, where customers can order ice cream through the Uber app today. The stunt is running on the #UberIceCream hashtag and @Uber_SING on Twitter.
The company has been running this campaign globally.
