The Republic of Singapore Navy has put up a video of a female recruit Marine systems operator Clarie Teo. According to Mothership, this was a recruitment ad to lure more youths to join their ranks.
Meanwhile, the Singapore Navy has clarified that this is not a recruitment ad.
While the video starts with adrenaline filled images of ships, it soon takes a softer tone as it shows its Teo having her hair and make up done for the interview. This 1:12 minute clip goes on to elaborate what motivated her to join the Navy- the sun, the sea and an adventurous job. The interviewer later asks Teo to sing in the video.
