The movie had a record-breaking opening weekend. According to Forbes it had a opening of US$208.8 million in America while Avengers: Age of Ultron brought in US$191 million and The Avengers was US$207 million.
One would think this might upset the team of superhero enthusiasts but being the sport they were, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to Twitter Tuesday to congratulate the team at Jurassic World .
Here’s the tweet which has gotten over 5400 shares at the time of writing:

@Kevfeige Classy move. Even more reason I am happy to see your films. Seriously, impressed with a little gesture that says so much.

Of course it also helps that Chris Pratt, the star of Jurassic World is set to play Peter Quill in the next few Marvel movies.
PR stunt or not, we think it was a nice move by Marvel Studios. Thumbs up.
