Live Nation acquires controlling interest in SG concert promoter ONE Production

Live entertainment company, Live Nation Entertainment has acquired a controlling interest in Singapore's concert promoter, ONE Production.Live Nation Singapore has previously also brought in a majority of ONE Production shows featuring artists from countries across Asia. In a press statement, Live Nation said that it has seen Singapore raising its profile as a destination for tours spanning across Western Pop and R&B genres, as well as Korean Pop and others. During the first quarter of 2019, Live Nation Singapore and ONE Production have confirmed shows with Maroon 5, BTS, BlackPink, and many more.Live Nation declined to comment on any of Marketing's additional queries.Alan Ridgeway, chairman, Live Nation Asia Pacific said that by joining with ONE Production, the company aims to create an international concert promotion business in Singapore. The team at Live Nation looks to amplify performance opportunities for artists and "diversifying" concert offerings for fans by welcoming the local expertise of the ONE Production team."Over the last few years, ONE Production has enjoyed tremendous success working with Taiwanese, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese artists. We already know the Live Nation team very well and are excited by all the opportunities this new venture generates for our team and our artists," Ngiam Kwang Hwa, managing director, ONE Production said.In 2018, ONE Production promoted stadium and arena shows with the likes of Mayday, Eason Chan, Got7, Twice, Super Junior, EXO, and One OK Rock.  Live Nation also had artists such as Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons, The Weeknd, Mariah Carey and Dua Lipa, tour in Singapore. Marketing has reached out to Live Nation and ONE Production for comment.
