Management change at IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong

IPG Mediabrands has appointed former Leo Burnett Hong Kong MD Lilian Leong as managing director of IPG Mediabrands Hong Kong.Leong begins her new role 16 December. She will oversee UM and Initiative’s key businesses, reporting to Prashant Kumar, president of IPG Mediabrands, World Markets Asia.After leading the agency for six years, current MD Chris Skinner will relocate to Dubai in December as regional managing director of UM MENA.“Chris has built our Hong Kong office into one of the finest operations in the region, and leaves behind an excellent line-up of leaders. We wish him our absolute best in the new role,” Kumar said.Leong spent the past nine years at Leo Burnett Hong Kong as general manager and was promoted to managing director in 2009.“Lilian brings with her deep and diverse experience in building great teams, and hybrid businesses. She fits perfectly into our DNA yet can augur new perspectives. We are really excited about what the next level for our HK operations could be," said Kumar.Prior to joining Leo Burnett Hong Kong, Leong worked with a string of creative agencies such as Bates, JWT and Ogilvy & Mather developing strategies for clients such as HSBC, IBM, San Miguel, Kodak, CSL and MTR.
