Li-Ning scores apparel sponsorship with Malaysian SepakTakraw League

Chinese sports brand Li-Ning has jumped at the chance to become the official apparel sponsor of the SepakTakraw League (STL) 2019 aired on Astro Arena. All teams and match officials of STL 2019 will be sporting Li-Ning jerseys with new designs, which fans can purchase from 6 September onwards.Li-Ning’s brand manager Teah Yann Ling said it believes sports is borderless. Whether it is badminton, basketball or sepaktakraw, the passion for sports unite all players and fans, regardless of their background, Teah said.“We hope our STL sponsorship will further raise the profile of sepak takraw and grow its fanbase,” she added.Meanwhile, Astro’s head of sports, CK Lee, said Astro Arena is excited to see Li-Ning, renowned for its badminton and basketball athletic apparel and footwear, venturing into sepak takraw.“As athletic apparel is integral to any sports, we see Li-Ning as our committed, long-term partner to develop STL into a world-classsepak takraw league, serving as a grooming ground for sepak takraw champions,” he added.
