LEDVANCE has appointed One9ninety to manage social media duties for Singapore and Malaysia following a pitch held in January 2018. Work for the account began in February 2018.
In a statement to Marketing, One9ninety said it is the first social media agency appointed by LEDVANCE for both countries. The agency will take on a key role in building brand awareness and promoting LEDVANCE’s lighting innovations, as the company looks for a digital space to help convey its solutions to a more targeted audience.
According to the press statement, LEDVANCE looks to strengthen its position in the market, and bring forward its German legacy known for its high quality and expertise. Thus, it has set its sights on expanding the company’s reach into Southeast Asia, through establishing the brand in social media spaces starting with Singapore and Malaysia.
Carved out of parent lighting company Osram, LEDVANCE was formed to focus on LED lamps, over-the-counter LED luminaires, as well as smart home lighting businesses following the recent reorganisation of Osram.

In a press statement, Laurent Verrier, CEO and founder of One9ninety, said LEDVANCE “perfectly matches” the agency’s own philosophy of creating innovative content and campaigns that put consumers at the center. Verrier added that the agency looks forward to collaborating with LEDVANCE.
