South Korean skincare and make up brand LANEIGE Malaysia is paying tribute to the legacy of its first sleeping mask with an online short film. The water sleeping mask was first introduced in 2002.
Conceptualised by digital agency Kingdom Digital and produced by Clic Production, the film titled “Our Legacy” tells the heartwarming story about the precious relationship a single mother has with her daughter. She has always been there for her, and she would do everything to protect, nurture and love her. But a trivial argument led to her teenage daughter to do the unexpected. The video also runs on Instagram and YouTube.
According to LANEIGE’s marketing manager Chong Hwa Yee, it is heartening to hear about the story from its consumers and the brand is grateful for their loyal support. “This film is the perfect way to celebrate the Water Sleeping Mask’s legacy on its 16th anniversary,” Chong added.
Kingdom Digital’s head of strategy, Edmund Lou, said the film is inspired by the true story of a LANEIGE customer who shared the story of her mother who had the very first LANEIGE Water Sleeping Pack, and kept the bottle till today.
“It then struck us! It is not just a product that enables women to have glowing, radiant skin, but one that’s attached to memories of important events and moments in their lives. In short, it became a legacy,” he said.
