KRDS Singapore has launched its sub-agency GramLab, which specialises in crafting brand and communication strategies specifically catered for Instagram. The agency will focus on visual storytelling in six-seconds, with a mobile-first approach to gain maximum user engagement.
It also looks to stay on top of all Instagram trends and produce content that will set the its clients apart from competitors. An in-house studio will thus be set up to ensure originality of content.
GramLab will support the brands right from the concept to execution and technical support, and aims to establish a stronghold in Instagram marketing through this launch, the statement added. Some campaigns for local and global brands the agency has already produced for include Pandora, Meiji, Wildlife Reserve Singapore and Shilla Duty Free Singapore, to name a few.
“Instagram stories have proved to be a massive success in 2017. The social media site claimed the throne for the most engaging platform with 68% of Instagram users frequently interacting with brands,” the statement read. The agency has also identified Instagram as a relatively young platform that is driven by user generated content. Thus, it deems to be a great playground for brands to evolve in a user-centric manner.
In a press statement, Preetham Venkky, director at KRDS Asia, said Instagram has become one of the widely used social media platforms for showcasing relatable and aspirational content through pleasing visuals. Brands are thus starting to realise the potential of the platform, and are actively joining the Instagram bandwagon.
“With the introduction of Instagram Stories, there is more scope for brands to experiment with their content and reach out to potential consumers. There also arises a need for brands to constantly stay on top of trends to differentiate themselves from their competitors and we are here to help them. We’re excited to work with more brands to help grow their presence on Instagram,” Venkky added.
This is not the first time KRDS Singapore has launched specialist functions. In 2016, it debut a new chat bot agency to help brands leverage on chat bots on instant messaging apps. Called “Oh My Bot!”, the agency will be dedicated to the development and design of conversational user interfaces, chat bots and human moderation services for instant messaging applications.
