Komix Herbal and Extra Joss pick Leverate Media Asia for digital and creative duties

Bintang Toedjo, a subsidiary of Kalbe Farma, has appointed Leverate Media Asia as the lead agency for two of its brands in Indonesia – Komix Herbal and Extra Joss. According to Bintang Toedjoe’s head of digital Andry Mahyudi in a press release, the agency was selected for its unique digital strategy and creative thinking that place a strong focus on generating measurable sales and efficiently spreading the right message to the right personas.Komix Herbal is a new product category by cough medicine brand Komix. Under the appointment, Leverate is tasked to develop a strategy to educate the market further about herbal cough medicine and its benefits, compared to more common chemical cough drugs. Project responsibilities include creating a digital presence for Komix Herbal from scratch, setting up the brand’s value proposition, and building awareness for the new products. The overall campaign success will be measured and assessed in brand engagement and sales.Leverate has since taken over all social media duties and strategically engaged brand ambassador Luna Maya in the digital assets. The campaigns are linked to Komix official eCommerce page on Tokopedia to generate measurable sales online.Meanwhile, Extra Joss is a powder-shaped health supplement and designed for an active lifestyle. For this project, Leverate will strengthen the “Laki Go To Health” campaign with a newly developed creative execution on all digital platforms and channels.Extra Joss, sponsor partner of this year’s Champions League winner Liverpool F.C., is well positioned in the sports environment, but wants to create a new persona that focuses more on healthy lifestyle, said the press release. To achieve that, the agency has developed a concept that addresses personal daily activities, including how Extra Joss Health Supplements can actively support healthy and productive lifestyles.Leverate Media Asia VP consulting Meutia Adryana said the competition among creative and full service agencies in the FMCG sector in Indonesia is very high and she is glad that the company managed to win two multi-agency pitches. “Both brands are part of the daily life of every Indonesian and we are excited to support these Indonesian mega brands to strengthen their digital presence and messaging,” she added.Last July, Leverate was appointed by SIM Indonesia Representative Office, which the private education institution Singapore Institute of Management had opened in Jakarta to bolster awareness of its offered programmes in Indonesia under the SIM Global Education (SIM GE) brand. The agency was tasked to help with SIM’s digital outreach initiatives covering main cities of Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Batam, Bandung and Bali.
