Travel products booking platform Klook will partner with high-profile actress Ha-wai Wong, who will be dressing in a traditional kimono, for its first publicity campaign this Sunday.
Riding on Hong Kong people’s enthusiasm to travel to Japan, Klook will be taking over Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay with a cherry blossom theme.
To create buzz, the booking platform will get Wong, who is best known for her distinctive look, to dress in her full kimono gear to rally the crowd and pose for personal photographs or even selfies with the public.
The offline event aims to push the brand’s exposure and highlight its kimono rental service to attract people to use its online booking platform.
Klook said the 81-year-old influencer, who has been crowned “goddess” and nicknamed “Ha-wai BB” by netizens in recent years, also uses the platform to book her travel activities, showing that anyone can discover new experiences, regardless of age.
Participants can also dress up in a yukata and have their photos taken with geisha and samurai models.
The event will take place on 13 March in Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay.
