KLM appoints first brand ambassador

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has appointed Nicol David (pictured left) as its brand ambassador for her wide appeal among Malaysians.

Currently, the appointment is on a year-to-year basis.

In her role as an ambassador, David will be sharing her KLM experiences on her social media accounts.

Estee Ng (pictured right), country manager, Air France-KLM, told A+M, “She is the undisputed world number one squash player and an ideal role model as she is a young woman excels in sports as well as studies, producing a powerful combination of brawn, brains and beauty. She also professes a healthy clean lifestyle, but most of all, she has a warm and friendly disposition,” said Ng.

With its global network, the airline will provide David with connections for tournaments, training or promoting squash for the Olympic Games.

David, at the sponsorship ceremony said, she’s proud of Malaysia and being Malaysian where she has the opportunity to spread and share with the world about Malaysia and her partnership with KLM of her travel experiences.

KLM flies daily between Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam, where David is based for training.
