Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) recently launched its mobile app in a bid to attract visitors and drive traffic to its newly revamped website.
“This app allows users to browse from their devices without losing the visual or digital quality, so everyone can enjoy ease of access to up-to-date relevant information on the Centre anytime,” said Alan Pryor, deputy general manager of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The mobile app targets professional conference organisers (PCOs), potential visitors, delegates and global clientele to provide them with a comprehensive take on the Centre’s facilities, amenities, value packages and the destination itself.
The mobile app features geo-location based direction with embedded Google Maps and helpful numbers list which utilises the phone’s native callout when calling. This makes it convenient for visitors when needing to contact emergency services, car rental services, transportation services, airports and even local embassies.
From 1 January 2012 to 31 October 2012, KLCC website received over 255,000 visitors of which 169,000 were new users. With this app, it targets to reach as many people as possible.
In line with the launch, WiFi upgrade of 40MB will be offered on complimentary basis to guests.
The app is compatible with iOS, Android and Blackberry touchscreen smartphones.
The promotional campaign will be announced in due course.
