KFC Philippines recently announced the appointment of Ogilvy as its agency of record for all advertising and digital communications, working in close partnership with KFC’s existing media partner, MediaCom.“Ogilvy’s strategic insight and creative idea fully delivered on our call for highly relevant, distinctive and consistent modern-marketing that is culturally dialed-in. We are confident that the agency’s global experience with KFC, coupled with a highly motivated and talented local team, will help us accelerate our modern-marketing transformation designed to build sales overnight and brand over time,”said Chacha Juinio, General Manager of KFC Philippines.“We are so excited to be partnering with KFC at this time in their transformation and look forward to launching the breakthrough campaign that will support KFC Philippines’ journey to growth,”said Elly Puyat, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Philippines.Ogilvy’s agency service model will be based on a core team of account, strategy, creative and digital/technology leaders who will be responsible for ‘marketing integration management’ of Ogilvy disciplines.“This ‘marketing integration management’ (MIM) model is currently being applied in other KFC markets globally and is proven to deliver significant advantages in terms of marketing agility and efficiency,” said Soames Hines, Ogilvy’s Asia Pacific client leader for KFC.Ogilvy has over 20 years of experience with the KFC brand and has become Yum’s lead global agency by winning the KFC business market by market, franchisee by franchisee.“Ogilvy’s global experience with KFC and our network collaboration allows us to help KFC Philippines adopt and adapt global best practice, whether that be winning products, creative ideas and (where appropriate) creative assets,”added Elly Puyat.
