JWT scoops up Nissin’s noodle business

Nissin Foods has called on JWT to handle advertising duties for its best selling Cup Noodles brand in the city.

Nissin Foods is the largest manufacturer of instant noodles in Japan and the dominant market leader in Hong Kong’s instant noodle category.

Fighting off two other agencies, JWT will create an integrated campaign that encompasses below the line, print, TV and digital executions.

“We are very honored and proud to partner a household name in Hong Kong,” Dennis Wong, JWT Hong Kong CEO, said.

“We all grow up with Nissin’s instant noodles. We are excited to have a chance to help escalate and expand the affinity of the brand with consumers.”

Founded in 1958 when it debut with its instant Chicken Ramen brand, the Japanese company set foot in Hong Kong in 1984.

Asatsu-DK Hong Kong previously worked on the account in Hong Kong.
